Captain Hitsugaya's Training

Wow! Thank you for the over whelming support everyone, all the comments made me so happy. I appreciate every comment you guys leave, and every fav <3 I got a little minor critique, and wanted to just tweak his neck a bit. Got an even bigger critique so I'm going to fix him up in the future, but thanks everyone!

In the later manga chapters of Bleach, there was a 1.5 year gap where Toshiro Hitsugaya had issolated himself in a cave and trained non stop to get strong and master Hyorinmaru.

This is what I think happened just before he is reunited with Ichigo Kurosaki. Matsumoto comes to get him in the cave, and he tells her he's finally mastered his Zanpakuto, Hyorinmaru. <- this is my idea of what happened.

All we are told in the Manga is that 10 days after Aizen was captured and Toshiro was fully healed, he took off to a secluded cave and started training to get better control of his powers as he was ticked off at how weak he was. this is manga chapter 423, pages 8-9

All beat up, hair shagy and a bit of fan service flair, I am really happy with how this turned out!

Decided to colour it cellshaded style like the anime is done in.


I thought Hitsugaya seems older in the manga now not because of his looks, but rather because of his personality. Calm, collected, mature and wise; he grew up a lot in that 1 and 1/2 years i find.


Anyway enjoy him! I was really tired of seeing practically only traces and coloured version of those traces of him from the later manga chapters, I wanted to draw him completely original to look like his older self.

Hope I brought him justice!

P.S. the white stuff dripping off him is sweat, yet it's obviously probably -30 in that cave because of his spirit pressure right now. Toshiro is boss!
